Maths Week

It has been Maths Week at Owairaka.  
Each day the Year 1's received a Maths Problem to solve for the day. 
 They then, put their answer into a container and two children with the correct answer received a prize for the day.

Room 15 are very good maths.  
We had a child chosen on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Monday

Sam had 3 stickers and his sister gave him 2 more stickers.

Tuesday

There were 10 minions jumping on the bed.  2 minions went for a drink.  

How many minions were on the bed?

Drea won the prize on Tuesday ...

Wednesday

Rose, Pat, and Charlie got 2 stickers each.  

How many stickers did they get altogether?

Charity won the prize on Wednesday ..

Thursday

There are six kittens in a basket.  Mrs Murray takes 3 of them home.  

How many kittens were left?

On Friday, we took some maths games to our Buddy Class, Room 16.  

We had a great time sharing and playing maths games with them.
