We had a great morning on Tuesday.
Together with our Buddy Class - Room 22,
we read "Matariki Breakfast" and did some acting of
"The Seven Fishes".
Then with a Buddy from Room 22,
we started the feathers for our
korowai - cloak.
We have used different textures to form the
feathers of the korowai.
A sneak preview! |
After that we had toast and jam,
while we waited for the rewena bread to cook.
Eating our toast under the pohutukawa tree outside Room 10. |
Just before lunch,
we met up again with Room 22 to eat the rewena bread.
It was a success!
We could tell,
as there was no bread left over,
only crumbs.

ReplyDeleteKa pai ruma tahi and ruma rua tekau ma rua. I bet your korowai looks ataahua! We are going to try and make some rewena bread at home. I hope it tastes as good as yours did!
ReplyDeleteKa pai - I can see there has been lots of great learning about Matariki. I'm glad you enjoyed the bread Room 1.
