Kereru in at Puriri Tree

During Calendar Maths this morning,

Johnson asked, "What are the pictures behind rua?"

They were Kereru,

which led me to remember a couple of years ago, we had a Kereru in the fale 

here at school, (it is on this blog going way back).

A little bit thinking went on and I remembered that Kereru really like 

Puriri berries.

So, we went on a Puriri Tree hunt at school 

and we found 2 trees, actually, they are our climbing trees and yes that had ripe berries.

Can you see Puriri berries?

Well, believe or not, as we were spotting the berries, Kendahl spotted a Kereru and it swooped down past us over the roof of Rooms 4 and 5.  

Wow! amazing

We picked some of the Puriri berries off the ground.
