Picnic Day

Today we had our School Picnic.

Here are some of the activities we got up to.

Corrugated Sculptures

Our Art for this term has been all about Sculpture.

We looked at the work of New Zealand artist, Steven Clothier for our inspiration;  he is known as the,
"Iron Man of Tirau".
He is turning Tirau into the
"Corrugated Iron Capital of New Zealand"

If you want to see more of his work, click on the link below.

We of course, didn't use iron, but we used corrugated cardboard as our medium.  We choose trucks as our focus because then we could individualise them.

Now have a closer look at our art work.

Carrots

While on duty with our teacher, we noticed that our carrots
looked like they were ready for us eat.

The next day we visited the garden and pulled out the carrots.

Our thanks goes out to
Sam and Ben
without them we would not have had this experience.
