Sorting

Over the next few weeks
we are learning about graphs.

First, we are learning to sort objects by colours.

Here we are sorting different things into colour groups.

Bubbles! Bubbles! Bubbles!

On Friday we did some bubble art
and made some snow bubble machines.

Come and check out our bubbles in Room 1.

Music with Mrs White

On Thursday Room 1 had music with
Mrs White.

We went riding in Mrs White's car.
It made some funny noises!

Then, we went for trip to the zoo to see what we could see.

After that, we choose different instruments to play.

Lego

This week we have the lego out.

Here are some of our creations.

This is a house, with a pink cat bed.  There are stairs to get to the bedroom.
The yellow area in the middle is for the chipmunks.
Outside the green part is the garden.

This is a spaceship.  It has lights, a blue blaster and the drone is at the top.

The lights are at the front.

The green part is the camera.  Keli's can fly and land on Milo's big screen.

"The Hungry Hedgehog."

Thaddeus, Parineeti and Hilary
all made hedgehogs out of play dough.

Lock'lynn, Ziva-Snow, and Claude

We are learning to say the number before any number to 10.

Friday - Ramere

Claude worked really hard at completing this LONG
alphabet puzzle.

Good on you Claude.

Milo and Thaddeus worked together to built this castle, which is connected together.
The building (old petrol station) is the meeting place and the spiky tower in the middle,
makes things work.

Great teamwork boys.

Mya, Keli and Melina caught up on some number work
by building these number towers.

Well done, you three.

Music with Mr Kim

Thursday was a fabulous day,
it was our first music lesson with Mr Kim.

He is coming each Thursday until the end of the term.

We got to use an instrument called a glockenspiel.

Do you know what the difference is between a xylophone and a glockenspiel?

I think we might ask Mr Kim that next week.

Here we are listening to Mr Kim.
We needed to show Manaakitanga,
so, Mr Kim could see we were responsible,
and we needed Manawanuitanga,
to show that we love learning new things,
and we needed Kaitiakitanga,
and look after the instruments.

We also got to play the sticks.

And YES, we also got to do some dancing!

Thursday are going to be a cool day!
