Manaakitanga - using our manners.

Our next school focus is Manaakitanga.

We can show we care by saying kind words.
We can show we are respectful by using our manners.
We can show we are responsible by using a quiet voice
inside and outside the classroom.

We use our manners, by saying thank you, when our friends open the gate for us after playtime.

We also use our manners, by saying thank you, when
our classmate's hand out the poems.

Tivaevae

A Tivaevae is a Cook Island patchwork quilt made by many hands.

Last Friday,
we each made a Tivaevae and then Lau put it together.

Then during the week, Hilary inspired us to make our own Tivaevae,
and here is what we did.
