Bee Art

If you haven't already guessed.

We have been learning about the honey bee.

We know that a honey bee has 3 main parts,

head,

thorax,

abdomen,

and 6 legs,  and 2 wings.

We can sketch a honey bee.  

We decided what sort of honey bee to sketch.

Worker Bee, Drone, Queen Bee

If you look at our sketches carefully, you might be able to tell the difference between the worker, drone bees and the Queen Bee.

Koro Steve

Last Wednesday, Millie's Koro came in to talk to us about

beekeeping.  He has his own bee hives.  

He showed us what he wears when he gets the honey from the hive.

We got to look inside the beehive.
