Alberton House

We had a busy, busy day at
Alberton House.

Here we are arriving at Alberton House.

First Francesca gave us a little talk about Alberton and Owairaka.
Can you see Alberton?
Can you see the quarry?
Where is our school?

Next, we had an explore of the house, upstairs and downstairs.
Harper and Miley standing in front of an old fridge.

Harper cleaning his shoes.

Kanzus and Luseana-Rose using the attic stairs.

Luseana-Rose and Kanzus waiting patiently for
everyone to come down the attic stairs.

After that, we had a morning tea break.

Next, we played "Pass the Parcel" with lots of interesting
objects from around the house, we had to guess what they were.
It was quite hard!

We then went out on the veranda and

 Amanda helped us make butter.

After all that mixing the cream turned into butter.

But wait there more ....

We rolled the butter into little balls.

Finally, we got to eat pikelets and butter - YUM
Thanks Philippa!

Then, it was time for lunch.
After lunch, we went on a Fairy House explore around the gardens.
There were 32 Fairy Houses, we found all of them,
with some help from Rendell.

This house was called the Owairaka Whare.

Thank you, Alberton for a great day!
