Home Learning Week 6 Monday 30 August

How did your bird watching go
at the weekend?

I saw lots of birds while walking Mani the dog.
I even saw a piwakawaka down at Heron Park, and 3 tuis in a flowering cherry tree.

This week we are continuing with the awesome creatures we have in Aotearoa New Zealand.

We are going to be learning about the
Tuatara.

  1. Kia ora Room 1. I'd love to see some pictures of Mani. This morning I also saw some birds on my walk. I saw tūī, pīwakawaka, kererū and kōtare. I wonder if Room 1 has a favourite bird or animal? Keep up the awesome work.

  2. Morena Room 1, I hope you are all doing well in this stormy weather! My cat was a little scared last night when the thunder started. I gave him extra cuddles so he felt safe.
The Tuatara is an amazing reptile! I found out they like eating beetles, weta, worms and spiders!
Kia pai tō rā. (Have a good day.)
