The Three Billy Goats Gruff

 

On Monday we had Science in a Van come to Owairaka.

They acted out the story of the 

Three Billy Goats Gruff

using 

push and pull.

Here is Big Billy Goat Gruff, he wanted to go over the bridge to get to the market.  But...

under the bridge was a mean, stinky Troll.  So...

we helped the Biggest Billy Goat Gruff push the Troll over the bridge.

Then the middle sided Billy Goat Gruff want to go over the bridge. 
He had his mother's slippery scarf that he wanted to sell at the market, but ...

there was that problem of the big Troll again and he couldn't push him over the bridge, so...

he pulled him on his slippery scarf causing friction and over the bridge he went.

Next was the smallest Billy Goat Gruff he wanted to go over the bridge to the skateboard park, but ... 

that mean smelly Troll was there under the bridge. 
How was he going to get over the bridge?

He tricked the Troll onto his skateboard and was able with the help of friction was able to push him over the bridge.
